Saw John Legend tonight. He played “Ordinary People.” The lyrics still resonate, but in a different way. While I wanted to have a cleansing cry, and I did cry, it wasn’t for my transgressions; rather it was for the fact that you could never be who you claimed to be. So many tears for nothing. You gave me bread crumbs. And my heart ate them up.
